How do I love thee Sauvignon Blanc? Let me count the ways. I do love wines from all over the world, but there is something special about the wines from the southern hemisphere, especially New Zealand. Not only are the New Zealand wines delicious, but always reasonably priced for the quality of wine. If you want a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc and perennial critic’s favorite, you cannot go wrong with a bottle of Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes from all over the Marlborough Region are used in this blend where vineyards are selected by flavor profile for desired outcome. According to the winemaker’s notes, “A bouquet of citrus and tropical fruits backed by characteristic herbaceous notes that Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is famous for. An exuberant wine brimming with flavors of pineapple and stonefruit with a hint of herbaceousness. The finish is fresh and zesty.” Wine Spectator gave it 88 points and said, “Really tangy, with key lime pie, honeydew melon, passion fruit and green tea notes. Great juicy finish.”
This wine is available in grocery stores, BevMo, World Market and other retail wine stores…just remember to look in the Australia/New Zealand section. Cheers!
